P Overview
Progesterone (P) is a very important progesterone synthesized in the ovary, adrenal cortex and placenta. In non-pregnant women, affected by luteinizing hormone (LH) and follicle stimulating hormone (FSH), the secretion of progesterone in the normal menstrual cycle changes periodically; while in pregnant women, progesterone secretes gradually from the corpus luteum It is produced by the placenta, which provides support and protection for the early growth and development of the fetus during pregnancy, and has a certain sedative effect on the uterus.
